Christi Matheson

Christi has been dancing since she was 4 years old. She is a former student of Jeanne's. She has been teaching dance at Jeanne's for 24 years. Christi teaches tumbling and clogging. Her clogging groups have brought home the Grand Champion Title. Christi has been married to her wonderful husband for 18 years. They have one son who is a blessing to their lives. Her son races soap box derby competitions and Christi enjoys going to every competition. Christi's inspiration is Jeanne. She loves to see the students grow up and become stronger dancers.

Jamie Warhus

Jamie was a student of Jeanne's for 13 years and a member of the Power Force Dance Company for 9 of those years. This is Jamie's third year of teaching. Jamie is a member of the Arizona Academy of Performing Arts and performs with the color guard. Her winter guard group just recently ranked third in the world in their performing division. Jamie will be competing with the Academy Drum and Bugle Corps for the first time this summer. Jamie just recently completed her first year of college at Arizona State University where she majors in Education.

Jennifer Roberts

Jennifer began dancing in Jeanne's garage studio when she was 2 years old. She has grown up participating in dance and performing groups that have toured across the country. She has danced in groups at MCC, Dixie College and BYU Hawaii. Jennifer has been a State, Regional and National Lifting Champion and has been involved in group fitness for 20 years. Jennifer is also involved in the fitness routine for the Arizona Junior Miss Pageant each Spring. Jennifer is the Director of the East Mesa Studio, Teaches combo and tap classes and co-directs the Power Force Dance Company. She says the best thing about teaching dance is the girls, their smiles and their unconditional love. She adds, "I love to watch these girls grow up, develop talents and confidence, and turn into outstanding young women. I have the best job in the world."

Jessica Warhus

Jessica was a student at Jeanne's School of Dance for 13 years. She was a member of the Power Force Dance Company's Sugar Babies group for 9 years. Jessica teaches teen tap and combo classes. Jessica just finished her first year at Arizona State University where she majors in Graphic Design. She participated in the Sun Devil Drill Team, and performed at Volleyball and Basketball games. Jessica is now a member of the Phi Eta Sigma and Alpha Lambda Delta honor societies at ASU, and she is also on the Dean's list at the College of Design. Jessica loves teaching dance and spreading the joy of the art to her students.

Jessie Waddell

Jessie has been dancing since she was quite young and has had training in ballet, jazz, lyrical, tap, hip hop, flamenco, modern and a little bit of ballroom. As a member of Ballet Etudes' company for five years, she has performed in many full-length ballets including: Cinderella, Peter Pan and the Nutcracker, where she was honored to dance the role of Court Fairy. In her 2005-2006 school year, she was also a member of the Mountain View Pom Line, and following that school year she was placed in the second highest level of the State Street Ballet Summer Intensive Program in Santa Barbara. This past summer, she attended Fort Wayne Ballet Summer Intensive in Indiana, where she was placed in the highest level and has extensive training in many genres of dance and she has been privileged to reach lyrical at Jeanne's School of Dance this year.

Kaley has been taking dance at Jeanne's School of Dance since she was 2 years old. She was a member of the Power Force Dance Company, as well as the Spiritline captain during school. At the age of 15, Kaley began teaching tumbling and hip hop. She continued teaching dance at Jeanne's through high school. After graduating from high school, Kaley went on to Brigham Young University where she studied Elementary Education. During the summers, Kaley would come home to do what she loves most, teaching dance! During college, Kaley was a member of the Advance Tap Company where she performed at Homecoming Spectacular, World of Dance, and Christmas Around the World. She has since graduated from college, been married for over a year, started teaching 5th grade, as well as classes at two of Jeanne's dance studios. Kaley loves all her students and wishes them the best of luck.

Kisha Campbell

Kisha was born and raised in Mesa. Her first class at the age of three was a combo class taught by Jeanne Wright. At the age of five she began dancing at Stars Dance Studio and had the opportunity to perform in Australia at the World's Expo. She has performed at many Sun's half-time shows, the East/West Shrine Bowl, and marched in Washington D.C.'s Independence Day Parade. In high school she received the award of Senior Division Champion for her solo and speech. Kisha was on the varsity Spiritline and performed in the Dance Company at Mesa High. Her teaching career began when she was in high school. She attended Rick's College in Idaho where she was a member of the Viking Line. Kisha owes much thanks to the Stars and her mother, who was here teacher and mentor. After college, she came home to be assistant director of Stars Dance Team until it's close in 2002. Kisha has been teaching company jazz, jazz and lyrical at Jeanne's for five years. Kisha loves the girls and what they bring into her life. She says, "There are so many talented dancers here and I am thankful to be part of the team." Kisha and her husband have a son.

Lara Adams

Lara received her ballet training at the Edra Toth School of Ballet, Boston Ballet School and several intensive summer programs: Pittsburgh Ballet, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, and Chatauqua Summer Program. Her professional career began as a member of Atlanta Ballet and then she went on to dance with Eugene Ballet and Nevada Dance Theater. She has a featured role in the multi-million dollar Las Vegas production show "EFX" and was a principal adagio dancer onboard several luxury cruise ships throughout Europe. In 2004, she and her husband received the "Gardel Award" at the first Argentine Tango W carte competition for their artistic contribution and later that year took first place at the USA Argenine Tango Dance Competition in Houston, Texas. Lara has been teaching all levels of ballet at Jeanne's since the fall of 1997. She and her husband have a daughter who is a dancer at Jeanne's.

Tammy is new to the studio this year. She has extensive NBA dancing experience with the Charlotte Hornets, New Jersey Nets and New York Knicks. She was a featured dancer in Sex and the City and has been a back up dancer for Lil' Bow Wow. Tammy has performed at several NBA All Star Games as well as the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece. We knew when she came that she would only be here temporarily so we would like to encourage all dancers to take her classes this June.

Tara Duffin

Tara has been performing in music, dance and theater productions all of her life. She majored in Dance Performance at Northern Illinois University. She has danced in several professional ballet productions including: Coppelia, Les Sylphides, and the Nutcracker. She has also performed in Hawaii, Disney World and on various cruise ships. Tara has also taught extensive voice training and has performed in several professional musical productions including: The Music Man, Annie, West Side Story, Annie Get Your Gun, and Guys and Dolls. Tara has been enjoying working at Jeanne's and loves working with all the girls. Tara enjoys being a mom to her 20 month old son and is expecting a girl in October.

Whitney Ajeman

Whitney has been involved with dance, music and theater performance her entire life. She began her training at the Safford Dance Academy under many talented, professionally-trained teachers. She also participated in Snow Choir and Varsity Spiritline in high school where she was the head choreographer. Whitney went on to major in Dance Education at Arizona State University where she has the opportunity to study under many renowned professors and choreographers. She has been an competitive gymnastics coach at Desert Lights Gymnastics in Chandler for the past five years. Whitney teaches combo, jazz, tap, clogging, tumbling and musical theater and will begin teaching ballet and contemporary this summer. She adds, "working here has given me the chance to inspire these dancers just as my mentors have inspired me. I look forward to many years at Jeanne's."

Whitney Deering Vance

Whitney has been performing in singing and dancing for as long as she can remember. Her dancing career began at the age of 3 and, of course, at Jeanne's. Whitney soon after found her love for music and singing. She began taking vocal lessons and was in musical performance groups. She has been singing for 15 years and loves every minute of it. Whitney has performed in several musical productions such as Newsies, Pirates of Penzance, and had the leading role in Bye Bye Birdie. Whitney also assists in musical theater classes called "That's Entertainment." She loves nothing more than spreading the joy of music and dance to children of all ages. She loves the children she teaches and appreciates the happiness they bring into her life.
