JEANNE'S SCHOOL OF DANCE POLICIES AND TUITION INFORMATION

TUITION POLICIES:

Tuition is Due the 1st of each month. A $15.00 late fee will be charged for each month if not paid on time. The return check charge is $25.00. Tuition left unpaid for more than 30 days may result in your child being asked to sit out of class. NO REFUNDS OR DEDUCTIONS are made for missed classes. Please make plans to take another appropriate class to make up for missed classes due to illness or holidays. An annual registration fee of $20 per student is due each year in addition to tuition.

Monthly tuition is as follows for one student only. Rates for more than one student can be figured by the receptionist. Rates are subject to change.

HOLIDAYS:

Holidays are: Labor Day - Monday, September 1; Thanksgiving weekend - Thursday November 27 through Saturday, November 29; Christmas Break, Monday, December 22 to Saturday, January 5; Spring Break - Monday, March 16 through Saturday, March 21; and Memorial Day - Monday, May 25.
RECITAL:

Dancers purchase their costume(s) for the recital and they run about $50 to $70 each.

Costumes are ordered in January and we ask for a $20/costume NON REFUNDABLE deposit in December. If your dancer is not going to be in the recital for any reason, please let the receptionist know so we will not order a costume for you. If you do not let us know by January1, you will be obligated to purchase the costume ordered. At least one costume per dancer must be paid in full by February.

There is a $20 recital fee due in April, which includes our 2 tickets to the performance. Additional tickets are $8 each.

CLASSROOM POLICIES:

All students must be dressed in the appropriate dancewear and shoes. Hair should be tied back out of your dancer's face. No visitors or parents are allowed in the classroom expect by invitation. No gum chewing allowed. No food in class. Water only can be taken into the classrooms. No street shoes are to be worn in the classrooms. Teachers will evaluate all students for proper placement in classes. All classes are subject to a minimum size.

STUDIO ETIQUETTE

Dancers and parents must show respect for their teachers and fellow dancers. Dancers who do not show respect or are disruptive in class will be asked to sit out. Parents must make an appointment at the desk to meet with an instructor. Please do not try to meet with teachers between classes, as they must promptly start their next class. Parents are responsible for watching their children in the lobby

STUDENT DROP OFF AND PICK UP

We want to assure the safety of your child. Please do not allow your child to wait outside before or after classes. Please be prompt in bringing and picking up your child for classes.

WHAT TO WEAR:

Combo: Exercise wear or leotard/tights with black tap shoes and pink ballet shoes(girls) black ballet shoes(boys).
Ballet: girls - black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes and hair in a bun (secured back and off the dancer's face); boys - black tights, white T-shirt and black ballet shoes.
Other classes: Comfortable dance clothes that allow free movement and are appropriately modest, hair secured out of face, no jeans, shoes depend on type of class.
